Privacy notice

Automatic translation from Italian, under review.

This page explains how personal data of visitors to www.suorebellamore.it is handled, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is the data controller

The controller is the religious Institute «Sisters of Beautiful Love» (Suore del Bell'Amore), Motherhouse, via Beato Angelico 51, Palermo, Italy. For any request about your data you can write to us through the contact form or phone +39 091 555 8020.

What data we process and why

  • Browsing data. When you visit the site, the server automatically records some technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, type of browser). It is needed to run the site, keep it secure and detect abuse. It is kept by the hosting provider (Aruba S.p.A., Italy) for as long as strictly necessary. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site.
  • Messages sent through the «Write to the community» form. If you write to us, you give us your name, email address and the text of your message. We use them only to reply to you. The message reaches the community you chose by email; the site does not keep its text. A technical record of the date, recipient and IP address remains, to prevent abuse. Legal basis: your consent and your request. You do not have to write to us: using the site does not require it.
  • Newsletter subscription on WhatsApp. The button opens WhatsApp: the subscription is handled through that service (Meta Platforms) and your number is processed under its own notice. Subscribing does not add you to a group but to a broadcast list; you can leave at any time.
  • Content from other sites. Videos, maps, podcasts and posts from other sites (Vimeo, YouTube, Instagram, Google Maps, Spotify and similar) appear only if you give your consent (see the cookie page). When you load them, those sites receive your IP address and may use their own cookies, under their own notices.
  • Links to other sites. The buttons to X (Twitter) and Instagram are simple links: no data is exchanged until you open them.

Visit statistics (only with your consent)

If you accept statistics, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, with processing also by Google LLC) to count, in aggregate form, how many people visit the site, from which countries and which pages they read. Google receives your address (which Google Analytics 4 does not store in full) and stores two cookies (_ga and _ga_N40G7TKWVK, lasting up to 2 years). The data may also be processed by Google in the United States. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from «Cookie settings» at the bottom of the page. Without your consent, Google's code is not loaded.

We do not profile visitors or use advertising, and we do not sell or pass on your data.

Who can see the data

The data is available only to authorised people of the Institute and to the site's technical provider, who processes it on our behalf. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area; the third-party services described above are activated only with your consent.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its processing, object to it, receive it in a readable format, and withdraw any consent you gave. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority of your own country.

Children

The site is not aimed at children. If you are under 14, please ask a parent to help you before writing to us.
