Zafferana

Already in August 1994, Sr. Nunziella came to Zafferana to deliver the text of the Constitutions to Cardinal Pappalardo. In September 1994, a first group of Sisters of Beautiful Love arrived in Zafferana, with a view to opening a community, accepting the invitation of the parish priest.

Working professionally in the world of education, they collaborate with the parishes of the area and with the Diocese of Catania on various initiatives, and offer formation meetings for the different age groups, in the various typical activities of the Institute.

"Our little community," said the Mother at a celebration in 1995 in Zafferana, "which has recently arisen among you, would like, with God's help, to remind you of this truth: the lava in Zafferana became, through Mary's intervention, a splendid altar of stone; so the trials and difficulties of life in this town are destined to strengthen and fortify the faith of every heart, so that Our Lady may have here, in Zafferana itself, a place where she is loved in a special way, a place where she can finally smile instead of weep. It would be wonderful if the arrival of the sisters contributed to making Zafferana a place of joy and hope, where many may come to rediscover those values of family, hospitality and love that today's world is searching for."
