SOME UPDATES FROM THE POINT OF LIGHT MEETINGS

Published on November 23, 2017

The Point of Light meetings continue in various places in Italy as well as in Munich, a journey of deepening and communion that creates almost an invisible network among those who, although many kilometers apart, tune their lives to this little compass that helps them find their bearings on the Christian path. Beautiful are the echoes that in these days reach the Motherhouse, as well as the concrete experiences shared by those who have already begun to put into practice the various “points of light” proposed one after another.

Among the updates that have come from the various communities and Cenacles, we publish a couple (at least some excerpts): the first comes to us from the “youngest” community of the Institute (the community of Rome, which was established less than 3 years ago!) and the second from the Marina Cenacle of Capo d’Orlando (ME), which counts quite a large number of very young people among its participants!

And here, then, are the “Roman echoes”:

“…Despite the rain, 26 people took part this afternoon in the Point of Light Meeting, which is increasingly taking on its own form and specificity. This afternoon we had the first experiences recounted about the Point of Light lived last month!

Today, then, the theme was very dense and truly “special”: the video, introduced by a few songs, and then the reading of the text of the 5th chapter of the book were moments of listening and deep welcome. The moment of the lectio in perichoresis (by now awaited by all!) was very beautiful!

We too, as a community, together, recounted an experience of our own with the new Point of Light, and then the handing out of the slogan”

And now the floor to the Marina Cenacle:

“a quick update on this month’s point of light...

Thank you for this beautiful video, which was very much appreciated by many and for different reasons... some appreciated it for its communicative strength, some for the practicality and clarity of its examples, some for having addressed the theme of the Trinity, so difficult and unknown to her. Everyone in one way or another received the novelty and beauty of this “gaze”, especially the children, with whom there was immediately a lovely atmosphere... also because each of them could personalize their own “glasses” for looking at people and things from within Mary’s eyes!!! The cheerful band of the little ones, under Gemma’s watchful eye, now manages on its own the space organized for them, leaving to us three members of the Cenacle the leading of the time reserved for the adults”.

Young or old, from the South or from beyond the Alps, we hope, then, to experience many, many times this very special relationship with Mary, asking her to let us look at reality through her eyes!
