When sorrow
knocks at your heart,
look it in the face,
do not fear it:
it is another face
of Christ the Lord.
Call by name
what you are living;
in every trial
or failure
you can contemplate
a new face
of the Crucified.
If sorrow
surprises you again,
know that it is
a mystery of love:
Jesus lived it.
He took upon himself
your sins
and failures,
he bears on himself
the sufferings
of humanity
of all times.
Sorrow knocks
at the doors of the heart…,
say to Jesus: “It is you!
You are the Spouse!
Come, Lord!”
Call by name
your suffering,
it is another name
of the Crucified
living in you.
You too continue
his passion
in the today of the Church
journeying
through time.
