Today I am doing better, becoming aware that I did not come to the new foundation driven by the desire to begin a new form of consecrated life in the Church, but rather by the perception of a new vision of Love, of God the Trinity, which led me to rediscover the foundations of Christian and ecclesial life, even before those of religious life, in a perspective of communion, embracing within itself also a new way of living and conceiving the vows, more centered on mutual love, on the community united in the name of Christ and open to the rest of the Church and of humanity.

For more than twenty years I never thought of founding a religious Institute, convinced that the Church already had enough works and institutions, not infrequently subject to the limits and flaws of human realities. I was convinced that for the renewal hoped for by the Council it was necessary, rather, to enliven and infuse the “sap of the Spirit”, that is, Love, into the old and new institutions.

The “gift” given to me by God and my resulting commitment of life was, however, wholly unusual and original with respect to the religious Institute in which I found myself, and it was not, in fact, “integrated” and welcomed within that structure; so the official Church, intervening and making an appropriate discernment, showed itself benevolent and ready to approve the birth of a new religious family: a necessary “cradle” to allow a new “grace” of the Spirit to express itself and work for the Church and for humanity.

To found has meant for me to follow the indications of God’s will and of the Church through the circumstances, even difficult ones, in which I have found myself; along this path I have also expressed my fidelity to the vocation to Love to which God has called me.

Today all that remains for me is to live, live, live, fulfilling the work and mission that the Lord entrusts to me.
